The Juifen town in the mountains used to live glory days in the past thanks to the gold mine and then fell into depression after the mining operation. Today, it rises up again because of the film A City of Sadness. Walking down the Old Street filled with the archaic vibe, one cannot help but feel a sense of nostalgia that bestows yet another charm upon the Juifen.

九份山城曾因金礦而繁華，風光一時，也因結束開採變得蕭條。如今因電影「悲情城市」再度熱鬧起來。走進古味盎然的老街，有股懷舊感湧上心頭，為煙雨濛瀧的九份更添魔力。
